Summer is Motorcycle Safety Season
With summer in full swing, trauma care professionals across the province are noticing an increase in the number of major traumas related to motorcycle use. While there is no clear explanation for this increase, possible contributing factors include good weather, driver inexperience, and road conditions. This trend is similar to the increase in motorcycle-related trauma that was observed during the summer of 2015, as explained by TNS Medical Director Dr. Rob Green in the video below. (FULL STORY)
To keep everyone safe this summer, motorcyclists need to wear appropriate and approved motorcycle gear, and all drivers on our roadways must be aware of each other at all times. Staying aware at all times means NO distracted or imparied driving!
Have a great summer everyone :)
